Domains

How They Work

Domains are basically a "lease" of an address on the world wide web.  Typical domain names have extensions that end in ".com".  There are other extensions that your web site can have.  These may be: .net, .org, .ws, .biz, .tv or one of many others.  Depending upon the availability of the "space", you may or may not be able to get your desired web site domain name.

Connecticut Web Services will endeavor to obtain a web site domain name that is as close to the customer desired name as possible.  We always will confer with a customer prior to locking in your domain.  There are options regarding the length of time you can hold on to your domain name.  You may opt to pay for 10 years of guaranteed domain registration or may want to keep it on a month to month basis.  These options both work and there is a variety of options in between.

Once you lock in your domain name we will create e-mail addresses for use in your business.  Connecticut Web Services can provide set up for as many e-mail addresses your company requires.
